Founder and CEO of BTCX, Christian Ander, is widely regarded as a true Bitcoin OG. Back in 2011, while most dismissed Bitcoin as a passing fad, he launched BTCX – Sweden’s first Bitcoin exchange – built in a single weekend to make buying Bitcoin as easy as buying milk. That bold move laid the foundation for what is today Sweden’s oldest Bitcoin company.

Over more than a decade, Christian has steered BTCX through volatile markets, shifting regulations, and rapid technological change, while contributing to public debates, regulatory discussions, and education on Bitcoin and blockchain.

Now, in 2025, BTCX enters its next chapter – not only as Sweden’s first and oldest Bitcoin exchange, but also as a Bitcoin Treasury, executing a long-term strategy to secure and grow its Bitcoin holdings.
