Charlie is a Venezuelan-born, Madeiran-descended, father and husband who found freedom through self-taught Bitcoin education. Today, as a full-time evangelist for FREE Madeira, he dedicates himself to spreading Bitcoin awareness and adoption, organising meetups, managing the hardware shop, and supporting local merchants. Charlie considers himself a disciple of Satoshi Nakamoto. Growing up under the authoritarian and unstable economic landscape of Venezuela, Charlie felt restricted by currency controls and inflation. Motivated by a desire for financial self‑sovereignty, he immersed himself in Bitcoin, engaging in global forums, and practicing through personal experimentation.
