Getting there – The best way to get to the venue is to take the metro to the Kalasatama Subway station. From there it’s a short walk to the exact location show on the map. Times – The event itself starts at 4pm. If you submitted an idea you can be at the venue at 3pm to set things up.

Prepare – You’ve been shared a link to the submitted ideas by email. Please check them beforehand to see if there’s something you’d like to advance!

Food & drinks – There will will drinks and snacks in addition to food arriving at 6pm.

Sauna & Hot tub – If you plan on going to the sauna or the hot tub, remember to bring a towel and a swimming suit.

Founders’ Sauna is a side event for founders, builders, investors and entrepreneurs to connect and workshop Bitcoin related business ideas.

The event connects people with Bitcoin-related business ideas and/or those looking to become co-founders or otherwise involved in a Bitcoin venture.

It’s a kind of a mini hackathon, but participants aren’t necessarily focused on coding.

WHY & WHAT

 If you’re a builder Founders’ Sauna is a must, because:

  • You’ll get to meet and hang with other builders
  • You’ll have the opportunity to bounce your ideas off investors like Eric Yakes (epochvc.io), Alex Mann (timechain) and Satunnaisotus
  • Bringing together builders, investors and innovators in the sauna creates hot teams!

At the event, we’ll form founding teams around ideas have a light workshopping session and then discuss!

How Founders’ Sauna Works:

  1. SUBMIT YOUR IDEA – When you purchase a ticket, you can share a Bitcoin business idea you’d like to work on. Don’t worry if you have none, you can still attend and come work on an idea someone else submitted!
  2. TEAM UP – At the event, we form founding teams around the submitted ideas.
  3. WORKSHOP ON AN IDEA – Each team works on building something—whether it’s a prototype, business model canvas, or go-to-market strategy.
  4. PRESENT YOUR POW – Each team can present what they’ve come up with to get feedback.
  5.  MINGLE – Discuss the ideas with others. There’ll be a couple of hours for mingling in the sauna (or without sauna – if you somehow so prefer).
  6. TAKE IT TO THE CONFERENCE – After the side event, you’re ready to pitch your idea at the conference to potential co-founders, customers, investors, or partners.

Best teams are forged in the heat of a sauna.

WHEN & WHERE

The side event takes place on Wednesday, August 13th—two days before the conference. We’ll start at 4pm, spend a few hours working on the ideas and then mingle until 10pm.
